Product Review and Recommendation Methodology
Our launch content is based on public sources, product documentation, manuals, and decision criteria. We do not present hands-on testing or measured lab results unless a specific article documents that work.
Recommendation rules
- Start with the problem, measurements, and safety constraints before naming product categories.
- Separate manufacturer claims from verified public-source guidance.
- Prefer decision tables, calculators, and buying criteria over unsupported top-product rankings.
- Disclose affiliate or sponsored links and never let compensation change safety thresholds or cautions.
Evidence hierarchy
Safety thresholdsEPA, CDC, CPSC, FEMA, utility, or code-related sources first.
Product fitManufacturer manuals, specification sheets, warranty terms, and installation requirements.
Buying criteriaRuntime math, flow-rate assumptions, maintenance burden, replacement costs, alarms, and owner constraints.
Affiliate linksAdded only after the decision framework; links use sponsored/nofollow attributes.
Current limitation
This pre-launch version should use phrases like “compare,” “evaluate,” “shortlist,” and “criteria” rather than claiming products were tested. Add hands-on language only after a documented testing protocol exists.
